Berkana BodyWorks was founded by Sharyl Wren, LMT, CECP — a Licensed Massage Therapist with over 24 years of experience in private practice. Sharyl's vision was to create a therapeutic massage practice that combined the quality of a high-end spa with pricing that made regular self-care accessible to everyone.
The name “Berkana” comes from the Old Norse runic alphabet — a nod to our Norwegian roots — representing the rune of growth, renewal, and new beginnings. It’s a fitting symbol for a practice dedicated to healing and transformation.
Today, Berkana BodyWorks has served thousands of Utah Valley families across two locations in Lehi and Orem. The Heart Behind Berkana
Sharyl Wren
LMT, CECP · Owner & Licensed Massage Therapist
Sharyl Wren is the visionary founder of Berkana BodyWorks and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 24 years in private practice. She graduated from The Institute for Advanced BodyWorks in April 2002 and has dedicated her career to making exceptional therapeutic massage accessible to everyone in Utah Valley. Sharyl's philosophy is simple: every person deserves to feel their best, and regular bodywork is a cornerstone of true wellness — not a luxury. She is also trained in Massage Cupping, a therapeutic technique that uses suction to release muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote deep tissue recovery. Her deep commitment to her clients and her team is what makes Berkana BodyWorks the award-winning practice it is today.
